You can step to the moon
and draw her a moustache

Steal all the city lights
to hang by the window

Walk out and sing a song
to lovers, beer, and thieves

Pick all the oranges
up in the apple tree

Catch a cow in disguise
and pass her as a sheep

Sail away on waters
blue as a morning dusk

Or step
onto an awkward ship
simply smile
and let laughter trickle
as an evergreen dew
down a brown pine needle.

I can't remember for the life of me when or why I wrote this. I vaguely recall the question being put to me "How can ou make today different from the one before", but other than that, these few lines are mystery. I like them though, hence their publication. But you... How could you make today different from the one before ?
